Ok, this is going to be the shortest post I ever write. I’m not even going to include a recipe card. Nope, you’re just gonna have to memorize this.
This recipe on how to cook ground beef in a crockpot will be a game changer for busy moms!
If you need to brown more than 2 lbs of ground beef, put it in a crock pot. It’s almost unbelievable how simple it is.
The crock pot does all of the work for you. No standing over the frying pan chopping and stirring the meat. Put it all in your crockpot, turn it on and walk away.
To cook mine, I used 2 lbs of 90% lean ground beef, breaking it off into chunks and layered it into the bottom of my crock pot! I sprinkled in my salt & pepper, gave a few more chops with my spoon and covered it with the lid.
Use the lowest setting and check on it in 3 hours. Chop it a few times to check for doneness. When you’re satisfied that it’s cooked drain and rinse.
I’ll use half and freeze half. If you go light on the seasoning, you can use it in any kind of recipe that calls for ground beef, just adjust the seasoning to fit the meal.
Dang, I love simple recipes and I love any meal that cooks quick. Try this out for yourself. You’ll wonder why you didn’t know it was possible sooner.
Tell me what unusual recipes you use your crock pot for…
