This recipe for pork loin roast is just something I threw together in my crockpot. I still can’t believe how good it is with practically zero effort. You will fall in love with this recipe just on those merits alone!
I discovered this little package of pork loin roast at Walmart. It’s a Smithfield brand which is kind of a local thing to Virginia. Normally, I don’t buy meat at Walmart but the price was so good, I had to at least try it.
My tribe is really picky about what they eat and introducing a new recipe is usually met with skeptical glares. Haha, I ignore it and just wait for the accepting sounds of mmmmmm.
So, let’s see what all you’re gonna need. One grocery store – check. One pork loin roast – check. Salt and pepper. That’s it folks. You can get as creative with your spices as you want.
1 package pork loin roast, salt and pepper. Place it all in a crock pot on low for at least six hours.
That’s it! No, I’m serious, that’s all you do. Don’t add water, it’ll make a little of it’s own juice to cook in. Just let it cook the six hours and you could pair it with potatoes or mac-n-cheese. You won’t get any fussing with a supper like that.
I don’t get too fancy with seasoning because my people would start pouting if I used any thing more than salt and pepper. My toddler is still deciding what days of the week he’ll even eat meat so I have to pick my battles on that one.
This simple and budget friendly pork loin roast is such a welcomed part of my go-to meals it’s almost like magic because it involves no real work. Did I mention clean-up is a breeze especially if you use a crock pot liner?!
Oh, by the way, this is Daddy’s Favorite Pork Loin Roast! My husband gives it two thumbs up!
